FEES BASED ON AREA

It is possible to calculate architectural fees  using building AREA rather than building COSTS for projects requiring Service Package A. For Service Packages B and C, the standard Fee Schedule based on building cost is a more reliable guide.

This can suit circumstances like owner building, insurance claims or where it is useful to anticipate architectural fees at the beginning of a project.

The fees based on area are similar to fees based on building costs.  As the building area increases, the fee increases; however, the fee per square meter decreases. As a project grows in size, there is usually some repetition and an economy on time.
