TRAVEL COSTS

With projects located across Victoria, travel is a necessary component of our fee structure. Our standard fee scale is kept on the low side of industry conventions so that when travel costs are included, the total fee is comparable with many other architects. The number of site visits varies from one through to several dozen depending on the type of project and our involvement.

The table below shows some indicative costs for travel from our Ballarat office to various locations. The cost of travel is nil for the first 30km, and $1.50 per km each way thereafter. Travel costs are calculated to include both time spent driving as well as automobile expenses. Note that distances to actual project sites may cause these amounts to vary.
